Sameer Rao, one of the most promising and prominent disciples of Padma vibhushan Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia ji, began hismusical journey at the age of eleven. Trained by Panditji himself, in the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara at the VrindabanGurukul, Mumbai, Sameer has performed extensively in India and abroad. An “A” Graded artist by the All India Radio andDoordarshan, Sameer is a recipient of awards such as, ‘Suramani’, ‘Nada Kishore’, ‘Yuva Pratibha’ etc.
