As An Actor:

My tryst with Theatre began under the able guidance and mentorship of Padmashree Smt B Jayashree Amma following which I played a lead role in the following plays

•  The hit yesteryear play “Sadaarame” in which I played the role of “Sadaarame”. The play went on to become a massive success
• Played a critical role in the play “Narahari” – a very complex Mythological play involving the dynamics of both Music and Acting.
• Most recently performed as a lead in the play “Neevu Kanire” a play on the life of the great Saint and poet Akkamahadevi.

I have been a part of “Nam Kampni” group and have performed in “Sandhana” a powerful woman centric play taken from the pages of Mahabharata and directed by a wonderful and able Director Surabhi Vasishta. This role again required a strong mix of Music and acting and my performance received good reviews including a specific mention as part of the Times coverage

My other achievements as an actor includes:

•  Playing an important character in the hit TV serial on Suvarna – Milana serial 4yrs back
• Lead role of a deaf woman in a short film called Achitha yet to be released)
• I have also played a short character role in a movie (yet to be released)
• As part of the India film project contest, I played an important role in the short film saraaga
• I have played a character role in a yet to be released web series “By Mistake” (tentatively titled)
• One of the most recent plays that I have been a part of ‘Bidi naanu devaragiraballe’ has seen many successful shows and I have received many accolades for the show.
• As part of the Vyoma, I have performed for “Whose Apple is it Anyway” a satirical children’s play that has seen multiple shows

As a Musician:

I have been learning Carnatic classical music for the past 15+ years and have been actively participating in music activities across Karnataka. I started classical music under the expert guidance of Vid. Smt. Meenakshi Ravi, continued under Smt Rohini Manjunathaiah and am presently continuing under the supervision of Vid.Smt.Kalavathy Avadooth. I have completed Junior and Senior grade Exams in Carnatic music Conducted by Karnataka secondary education board

Along with Carnatic Music, I have also has been tutored on aspects of Hindustani Music, Western music, Bhajans, Contemporary world music and other forms of Music by Vidwan Sri Praveen D Rao, an eminent Musician. I also have experience in other genres of music (light, folk etc.) by learning under highly respected musicians like Smt.Vinaya, Sri Ravi Muroor, Smt. Mangala Ravi, Smt. Supriya Raghunandan and Smt. M D Pallavi.
